Monster drawing

I gotta lotta catching up to do. Lots of computer issues, but that matters not because I made it. (Cough let me catch my breath) Here's my illustration for the week before last theme, "little monster". Marcelo threw me the idea and I ran with it. The drawing is based on Kanye West song "Monster" that also features Jay-Z, Rick Ross and Nicki Minaj. Here they are all little monsters, except Rick ROss, well because he aint little.

I kept bouncing between a classy type of villain and a cartoony one, so I think this is a decent compromise. I would definitely like to polish this idea up and make it nice.

Savage Villians

My good scanner is buster, or rather my computer, so I had to scan this in with my scanner printer and put it together. This is my submission for this weeks theme. Its another piece I have been wanting to do for some time. I plan on coloring it and will post that when I can.
Its based on an Alex Ross piece but with Savage Dragon characters. A gold star to whoever can name them all! Please comment, Id love to know what you guys think

The Mikku

They are the things you hear at night. The loud meowing in the distance. The hissing and the scratching outside. They're not cats they are Mikku. Also the plural for multiple Mikku is Mikku.

Demon Cop

This was a really quick job. I have been wanting to draw this character for a while, it started as a joke untill I started developing the story and now I like him. This isn't his final look, actually its the first time ive drawn him. There is definetly some Savage Dragon and Hellboy influence in there. Thats what I got

Little Monsters

Sketch for Little Monster, Ink, 2011

A small boy stands in the corner with his head hung low, a broken lamp on the floor casts his shadow across the wall. It takes the form of what everyone must think of him. "What a little monster," they say under their breath.

My entry for this theme is just a small, very rough sketch for an idea that may make it into my series-in-progress Tongue in Cheek. I imagine the shadow to be sketchy, like a kid's crayon drawing, and intricate with lines weaving in and out. The monster needs a lot more design work, but for now it's a start.
